Doggie Easter Egg Hunt at Justin Trails

Kicking Bear finished out the month by celebrating Easter with our great friend Dawn Justin at Justin Trails Resort in Sparta for their annual Doggie Easter Egg Hunt!  This awesome event gathers supplies and donations for the Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter in Tomah, WI. We were so excited when Dawn asked if we could team up and we love that she wanted to include a time of ministry into this event!

We had so much fun with all the pups and their owners as the dogs searched out eggs filled with kibble!  We were also able to spend some time giving a message about God’s incredible desire for us to be in relationship and loving one another.  We talked about the unconditional love between dogs and their owners and how that is a beautiful reflection of the love God has for us and how that love is ultimately demonstrated by Jesus going to the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.  All so we can be back in a right relationship with our God!

John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:19  We love because he first loved us.

We loved spending the day this way and are incredibly thankful for our partnership with this event. God is good and we love our furry friends that remind us of that!
